Surgery Disclosures

  • Upon arrival, all dogs must be left in vehicles (Please keep the heat or A/C on for them).
  • Check-in is at 7:30 am. Please arrive on time. You are welcome to line up at the front door until we open it. The check-in process takes about 30-45 minutes.
  • Pick-up is at 3:30 pm sharp. We will not open the doors until then, but you may line up outside exactly as you did for check-in. Any pet parent not present more than fifteen minutes after their pet is ready to be released will incur a late pick-up fee. If you are going to be late, please call us ahead of time. Check-out should take between 30-45 minutes.
  • All cats must arrive in crates with the pet’s first and last name on them. All dogs, once allowed in the lobby, must be on non-retractable leashes.
  • A rabies vaccination is required for us to complete surgery. If your pet has received their rabies vaccination within the last twelve months, you will need to bring a copy of your pet’s rabies certificate. Rabies tags will not be accepted as proof of vaccination. We also offer rabies vaccinations at the clinic for $15.
  • If your pet is on ANY medication or supplement or has allergies of any kind, please alert the staff upon check-in.
  • Unless you are told otherwise, after surgery your pet will not have external sutures. All sutures are absorbable on the inside and the very outer layer of skin is held together with surgical glue. Do not clean or apply anything to the incision site. Any issues caused by a failure to follow post-operative instructions will result in the owner being responsible for any charges incurred for treatment. Please see our POST-SURGICAL NON-COMPLIANCE NOTICE for more information.
  • Female patients in their second or third trimester of pregnancy will have an additional fee of $15 per trimester. This is to cover the extra fluids and care that must be provided to these pets.
  • NO FOOD after 12:00 am the night before surgery. Pets younger than four months may have ¼ cup of food at 6:00 am the morning of surgery.
  • Feral Cats must arrive in a humane trap. Our staff will sedate this animal before performing any examinations or procedures. The cat will receive an ear tip (please see our FERAL POLICY for more information). Any feral cat arriving in a pet taxi will be declined.
  • Vaccines and tests are only given at the time of surgery, or at our VACCINE CLINICS.
  • A $40 deposit is required to book a surgery appointment. Failure to cancel or reschedule at least 2 business days prior will result in the loss of this deposit (ie. If your pet’s appointment is on a Monday, you must call by Wednesday at 9:00 am to cancel or reschedule). If you call to reschedule after the cancellation period, you will be required to pay another $40 deposit.
  • We reserve the right to decline services to any pet at the discretion of HELP Spay Neuter Clinic.
